Flame Body (Japanese: ほのおのからだ Flame Body) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.
Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with this Ability is striking past a move that makes contact, in that location is a thirty% risk that the attacking Pokémon will become burned.
If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a multi-strike move that makes contact (such as Fury Swipes), each striking has an independent chance to activate this Ability.
Outside of battle
From Pokémon Emerald onward, if a Pokémon with Flame Trunk is in the party (fifty-fifty if fainted), the number of cycles it takes for all Pokémon Eggs in the party to hatch are halved. This effect does not stack with itself, Magma Armor, or Steam Engine; however, it can be stacked with Hatching Ability Laissez passer Power, O-Power, or Roto Hatch.
